One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed the set of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, you 'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troubled times of my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why you would leave me when I needed you most."
The Lord replied,"My child. My precious child. I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

~Footprints of my Life~
![]() ![]() Of my 4 years in NIE, this semester's CCE module is the best! The assignment is the most interesting as it requires us to do readers' theatre which is some sort of a minimalistic drama piece. I have always been interested in drama and this assignment was something that I had been really looking forward to right at the beginning. And that's not the best part of the story, the best part of the story was that my group chose 'Charlotte's Web' to work on for this readers' theatre presentation! If you have noticed in one of my previous blog entries, Charlotte's Web is one of my favourite stories and my love for this story has grew even more after I watched the movie! So doing an assignment based on this story for me was like really amazing... =) Everything just fitted together perfectly and this is definitely the first time I am that motivated and excited to complete an assignment! And the other best part of the story? I am working with a bunch of fantastic people for this assignment - Jo, Irene, Lilian and Janice; people I have known since Yr 1 and am very comfortable with.... It was superbly hilarious as we tried to be convincing in our respective roles especially for the roles of Templeton and the old sheep. These two characters are the nastiest in the performance and you guessed it!... I am one of them (the old sheep...haha) I asked for it coz I just have a knacking for acting out these 'bad' characters. Well, I will write more abt this when my group gives our grand finalized performance 2 weeks later....haha And to top everything off, I guessed one of the most blessed things that could happen to us is that we have Sally Ann Jones as our tutor. (I am not saying that having other tutors is not a blessing, I believe other tutors are still good in their own ways.) But to me, Sally Ann Jones has in all ways shown to me wat a good english teacher should be...to be not only strong in content and pedagogical knowledge but also to care and respect the opinions of students. Yep... I thank God for giving me the opportunity to be in this class, to have such an interesting assignment and to have such crazy and lovely groupmates to work with. I totally believe that this module is going to be a blast! =) MaRGaReT left her footprint @ 7:18 PM
