One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed the set of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, you 'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troubled times of my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why you would leave me when I needed you most."
The Lord replied,"My child. My precious child. I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

~Footprints of my Life~
![]() ![]() This year's birthday was one of the most memorable ever... :) I decided I just have to jot it down and remember it. 29-07-08 - Doughnut party with Kindness 1 I had my doughnut making session with Ki 1 last Thursday. The children really enjoyed themselves making the doughnuts! And though it was really hot just sitting around the doughnut maker and making those doughnuts, seeing the smiles on their faces just made all the effort worth it. :) Here are their smiley faces! 1 Aug - Doughnut Party with Hope 1 and my birthday.... :P This was a friday. Usually , I dread fridays because it is my 9 period day and I will be super exhausted at the end of the day. I got well-wishes from my friends and CG (thank you!) - each of those well-wishes did make my day a little more special. :) I thought my colleagues did not know because I never told them and I was thinking that everybody is too busy to bother abt such things lar...so imagine my bewilderment when one of them went to announce to everybody that it was my birthday. And that triggered off a series of crazy things....kids singing in the hall 'Happy Birthday', a happy birthday sign plastered on my seat....kids coming from other classes and singing 'Happy Birthday' to me. I felt so embarassed about this sign that I took it off after taking a picture of it! Despite all that craziness, I still did doughnut making with Hope 1. This time round, I got one of the kids to be the photographer, taking pictures of me when I was demonstrating the process. And this was when she took one picture of me scolding pple while demonstrating. haha... Again, the kids were happy decorating their doughnut and this is one happy boy. In the evening, I had dinner with my mum at Crystal Jade. It's been some time that I had nice chinese food and I was definitely looking forward to this meal. My dear mum also bought me a cake! Well, I think you know how old I am looking at the candles. Well, this day is definitely a special day. I spent one whole day with my CG....Lunch, Tea and Dinner because of two special occasions - my bdae and Reina's departure to US. We had lunch and cake.... had tea.... and dinner at this special place called bottletree village in Sembawang. It was an al fresco setting and we could also see the sea! And the best thing was, the food was nice and cheap. Behind us is the trademark bottletree in the restaurant. ![]() 6 Aug - Back to work Back to work, I decided that I had to take a picture with my colleagues who have helped me so much over the past one year and not to mention made my birthday such a 'special' one. haha... 8 Aug - It's half day! Yep, it is! And I made use of the time to catch up on some beauty sleep before meeting ah yap and huisi at night in delifrance! I must thank Huisi for the lovely 'present' and also for arranging this meetup! :D At the end of all these wonderful meetings, I just want to thank God for bringing such lovely people into my life and making it special in one way or another. :) MaRGaReT left her footprint @ 10:22 PM | 0 footprints
