My 'Thank You' Letter to God

Dear Lord,

Thank You for Your great love for me. You have poured out so many blessings in my life, blessings that I have, ashamedly, taken for granted at times.

You have placed me in a wonderful school. And through the school, You have brought me to know You.

You have come to my aid in times of trouble. When the behavior of some students were too hard for me to bear, You sent to me helpful colleagues and enabled me to overcome the problem.

Thank You for giving me the opportunity to teach. I am thankful for the 3 classes I have taught so far. Though, in the children's eyes, I am their teacher, they have taught me so much more. Their child-like innocence taught me that I have to put aside the cares of the world in order to have joy. Their obedience to my instructions taught me that I have to also be obedient to You.

Thank You for placing me in a job which is so fulfilling. As I received 'Thank you' cards from children and parents who grades have improved tremendously, I am touched but more importantly, I am grateful to You because it was You who first loved me and taught me how to love others.

Thank You for those trying times. These times have taught me humility and helped me to trust in You. Even when I am crying my heart out, I am comforted to know You are with me and You will guide me.

Thank You for never giving up on me. Though I have failed to obey You countless times, You have said in Your word there is no condemnation for God's children. Instead, what I received from you was acceptance, forgiveness and a promise that You 'who started the good work in me will complete it'. Your grace is truly wonderful, Lord.

Most importantly, thank You Lord for sending Your son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. For without Him and what He did, this 'Thank You' letter would not even be possible.

Thank You Lord for everything and may You use this letter as a blessing to everyone who reads it.
