A Summary

Wow, I have been away from this blog for so long.... It's always either I am too busy or I don't have the mood to write something.... but the past few months have been eventful and meaningful... so here's just a summary.

December
1) 3 groups of people visited my house during the December holidays - my NIE friends, HFG and my CG from church. :) Well, these visits kept me really busy - cleaning and preparing the house. (coz I don't usually do it consistently :P) I really enjoyed the time together with these friends - thank God for the fellowship and for allowing all these gatherings to be possible. :)
My NIE friends! :)
--- HFG --- still going strong :)

My CG! On Xmas Day! :)
2) I got baptised finally! It was really a magical feeling and the significance of it - being dead to my past life of sin and rising up again in the life of Christ rang in me especially when I saw the photo that my friend Edmund took of my baptism. I am glad and overjoyed that I took this step of obedience. :)

3) I served in the worship ministry of my church after a month of rest due to my preparation of baptism. I never imagined that God would use my voice to minister to the congregation in such a way... but He did. Even though I was serving, I went away feeling ministered by the Holy Spirit too.

January 2009

1) It's the new year! And for the first time after so many years, I made new year resolutions - one of which was to do my quiet time everyday. I also asked to experience God deeper in all areas of my life and to know that He is bigger than any of my problems if I ever face them.

2) I finally saw my class - Kindness 1. The class' combination is so much better than last year's. :) Thank God for that. Well, there's a season for everything, ain't it? Though I had many problem kids last year, I learnt a lot from these kids - though the lessons are hard, they are valuable. I have learnt that it is possible to give thanks to God in any circumstance - for lessons learnt and also for enjoyable years.

February 2009

1) So far, I am enjoying 2009! It's been a great year so far and I look forward to the year ahead!

More than anything, I know that I will be joyful in 2009 because Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!
